Parksicle

Parksicle is a sweet treat for the eyes, offering a playful respite from the dog days of summer and from everyday adult life. Exuberant colours evoke memories of childhood summers; free from school and with our friends on hot, long, and sunny days, we would chase ice cream trucks for the brief, sweet and cooling treat of a popsicle handed to us as our prize. Parksicle is an installation that looks delicious and offers shade for those wishing to relax on the open grassy lawn. Its bright colours can be seen from the bridge and from across the river, drawing people in from nearby. Parksicle lets us slow down with nostalgia for those sweet childhood memories.
